Moving the Watch Folder on the same instance
To do this you will need to update the Watch folder configuration within the ADM client.
Locate the ADM Network service running on your network, and log onto that machine
Browse to the folder that you wish to make the new Watch folder within Windows Explorer
Make a note of/copy the address of the folder location.
Open ADM Client as an administrator
Go to System Control, Watch Folders
Double click the Watch folder you wish to amend.
Paste/Write the location you made note of/copied earlier into the Watched Folder Path
Click OK
As a side note make sure that the windows user that the ADM network service is running as has full permissions the new watch folder
Moving the Watch Folder to a new instance
If you are moving the ADM Watch Folder to a brand new server, you will need to install the ADM Client and the ADM Network Service on this new server location. Please ensure that the ADM Network Service will have full permissions to this new watch folder location before proceeding.
Open ADM Client as an administrator
Go to System Control, Watch Folders
Double click the Watch folder you wish to amend.
Write the new location into the Watched Folder Path
Click OK
Open the ADM Network Services Configuration Tool
Log in to the tool
Press the Stop Network Service button
Press the Update Configuration button
Press the Start Network Service button and Press Exit
The new folder should now start processing.
