Error retrieving a document

The full error message is: 'Error retrieving document. Unable to load product at ADMS_API.ADMSIntegrationProduct.GetIntegrationProduct(ADMSConnection conn, String ProductName)'.

This error is likely caused by a missing or corrupt integration link. Before proceeding, ensure you have the following:

  1. Know which product the error is happening within.

  2. Have access to the ADM Client application.

  3. Be an administrator user of ADM.

Once you have all three, follow the steps below.

  1. Gather information about which product is showing the error.

    • This determines which IntegrationLinks.xml file you require.

  2. The Product Integration links are a set of xml code. The relevant application's IntegrationLink xml files are installed alongside the application in a subdirectory of the application root folder.

  3. Once you've located the .xml file(s) for the Integration links it's time to connect to the ADM database.

  4. Open ADM Client and log in with an ADM administrator user.

  5. Click System Control, then click Integration Links, then click Import IntegrationLink Settings.

  6. Use the three dot button to open File Explorer and locate the {productintegrationlink.xml} file.

  7. Click the Green Plus button to add a database. Press Tab to enter multiple databases.

  8. Click Import to add the IntegrationLink settings for this product and the database(s).

  9. You should now be able to open your record in the application and edit or add documents.
