Check whether the user is using the correct URL in the Server URL field on the ADM client login screen.
Follow these steps to check:
Log in to the Dimensions account as a system administrator (SA).
Click the System tab.
Click Options, then click System Control Options.
Click the Record tab.
Check the URL in ADM of Webservice field.
If the URL in the **ADM of Webservice** field is https://document.accessacloud.com, the user is using Access Workspace Document. If so, they will need to:
Create an Access Workspace user.
Grant the workspace user privileges to use aCloud\Workspace Document.
Link the workspace user to a Dimensions user.
If the user is using Access Workspace Document, follow the steps below to complete the setup.
If the URL in the field ADM of Webservice field is not https://document.accessacloud.com then the user is using the non-hosted solution Access Document Management.
If the user is using Access Document Management they will have to:
Create an ADM user.
Link that ADM user to a Dimensions Accounts user.
The user can create a non-Windows authentication ADM user with the following steps.
Log in to the ADM Client using the ADM administrator user (username: ADM, user ID: MSTR). Clear the **Windows User** checkbox — if you can't, contact our support team.
Click the System tab.
Click on Manage User icon.
Select a colleague with the same role.
Click Edit User.
Click the Member Of tab.
Record which groups the user is a member of.
Click the X button in the top left corner of the Create/User screen to close the record.
Click the Create User icon.
Enter the following fields:
User Id.
User Name.
Password.
Email Address.
Select the User Account Has Been Enabled checkbox.
To give the new user access to the System Control tab in the ADM client, select the User has access to System Control checkbox.
Click the Member Of tab and add the user to the same groups as their colleague with the same role.
Click Save.
If you do not know the ADM administrator password, or if the steps above do not resolve your issue, the Access support team will need to investigate. If you have trouble contacting the support team, see Get support in Access Document.
