Error: 'Unable to launch Microsoft Outlook' in Document Manager

The latest builds of Microsoft Office for Microsoft 365 do not allow add-ins to work. This can be resolved by applying a patch to the registry — contact support for details. This error can also occur in a hosted environment when Hosted Dimensions Client tries to send an ADM document using the local copy of Outlook. Remote Desktop restrictions prevent the hosted environment from communicating with a local copy of Outlook, so this feature is not available for hosted clients. If you are in a hosted environment, use the following workaround:

  1. In Dimensions, open the required document.

  2. In the Document Management window, click Print.

  3. If no PDF printer is selected, use the Name drop-down to select one. Several free PDF printers are available online if needed.

  4. In the Save As window, select a location to save the document.

  5. Use your local email client, attach the document, and send to the desired customer or supplier.
