Note: This document only applies if you are a Access Document customer**
IF you host your own Access Document Management Database then some parts of the document may help. But it will not apply to you as a customer.

Access Document when hosted by Access is accessed via a integration with the Access Document web service.

This is requested via the URL https://document.accessacloud.com and is used by the Application, along with a set of user credentials to authenticate the user in order to access the relevant document/database for that person.

IF you are experiencing the aforementioned error, this could indicate either:

  1. A Invalid set of Access Document credentials being passed from your user to the Access Document webservice

    • OR

  2. An Internal Network Issue

First check the Access Document Credentials are valid. To do this:

  1. In a web browser go to the Access Document login page

  2. Log in with the same Access Document user your FocalPoint user is connected to

    • **If you need to double check this information it can be found in Dimensions, under the User Records module**

  3. If you can log in successfully on this webpage, then the problem is not related to your credentials.

  4. In this case move onto the Internal Network Issue checks below

Internal Network Issue checks:

It could be coming from your own internal network policies or be a problem with the Access Hosting services.

Please check the acloud status page initially to look for any known incidents which might indicate a potential cause.

IF you do not see any incidents for Access Document then check with your internal IT for any possible reasons why the network may have a problem communicating with the URL above.

Do check a colleague's PC to see if this isolated to your PC only.

IF this is happening on your PC only:

  • Try another web browser, if you are using FocalPoint

  • Disconnect from any VPN/Remote Desktop sessions you are on and reconnect
